Mindy Lee Sterling is an American comedian and actress. She was born on the 11 th of July 1953 in Paterson, New Jersey. Her most prominent roles include Frau in the Austin Powers series and Principal Skidmore in A.N.T Farm, first aired in Disney Channel. She has also stared in other films such as The Legend of Korra and Chowder.

Mindy Sterling Family
Unknown to most of her fans, comedian and singer Dick Sterlin is Mindy’s father. Her mother June Vincent, was a dancer. She has just one brother, Mark Sterling. Both Mark and Mindy keep a low profile about their families. They hardly speak about their late mum, for pretty much obvious reasons. Mindy has one child, Max Gadson, from her previous marriage with Brian Gadson. Max lives with autism, a condition which has not prevented him from taking up comedy just as his grandfather.
Mindy hardly speaks of the condition although the two are always seen together in occasions. Mindy has in fact, joked on numerous occasions on social media that Max is her date. In 1998, Mindy underwent a routine mammogram which later turned out to be a nightmare. She was diagnosed with cancer after a lump was found on her right breast. She later explained that the news from her doctor hit her like a ton of bricks. She went on to beat cancer after a series of chemotherapy sessions.

Despite her roles in numerous files in the 80s and 90s, Mindy was not successful until 1997 when Austin Powers was released. Her role made her a worldwide sensation and helped her land other authoritative roles in different films. Following the success of Austin Powers in 1999, Mindy appeared in Drop Dead Gorgeous. She later reprised the Character in Austin Powers in Goldmember. Her popularity continued to rise further after the project. In 2000, she appeared in How The Grinch Stole Christmas. 12 years later, she appeared in a book trailer The Hunger of Pains, which was a parody of The Hunger Games. She has also appeared in Desperate Housewivesseveral times.
Mindy Lee Sterling has also enjoyed a successful TV career. She made appearances in That’s So Raven and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. She also appeared in Friends and Joey. She has achieved accolades for numerous teen sitcoms such as ANT Farm and iCarly. On April 25th 2013 just before the final season of ANT Farm, Mindy announced that she would no longer appear on the show’s 3rd Season because of what she termed as ‘family obligations’.
She made surprise appearances in 2004 on Donny Osmond’s version of Pyramid. Her role as JaniceNugent in the comedy series Legit was a big success. She is expected to star in A Series of Unfortunate Events, a Netflix series.
