Born on the 8th of January 1966, the Englishman has been described by many as successful in everything he does. Inspector Morse and Fawlty Towers are some of his most popular works.

There is no doubt at all that Adam Henson’s family has played an integral in his success as an actor. His grandfather, Leslie Henson was an actor. This inspired Adam Henson to choose a pretty much similar path. His father, Joe Henson MBE was a popular figure and a TV presenter for a popular countryside program with Phil Drablle and Angela Rippon. His uncle, Nicky Henson was also an actor who appeared in films such as Britain’s all time popular Fawlty Towers and Inspector Morse.
Adam Henson Career
Born and bred in Gloucestershire, Henson spent most of his life in a farm owned by his family. Unknown to many, Adam holds an HND in agriculture from Seale Hayne Agricultural College. During his time in college, he met Duncan Andrews who went on to become his friend and business partner. The two travelled to Australia where they worked at a sheep farm. They also travelled to New Zealand where they worked at a kiwi plantation. They later returned to Queensland Australia where they started a tea plantation. They would return to Canada and California much later in a bid to grow their agricultural exploits. Henson now runs and manages the Cotswold Farm Park, a project started by his father. The farm attracts more than 70,000 visitors every year. In 1998, Adam and Henson took on the lease of Bemborough Farm. This went on to be yet another success story. The two business partners now run the 650 hectare estate where they grow spring barley, wheat and oilseed rape. They also keep a flock of 350 commercial ewes.
Adam’s TV career is just as successful as his farming career. He broke into TV limelight in 2001 on BBC’s countryfile program. He was later featured on other notable TV projects such as Inside Out and Countryfile Summer Diaries. His knowledge on farm matters landed him a role as a presenter on BBC Radio 4s Farming Today and On Your Farm where works alongside Kate Lamble of Laming Live.
Adam boasts of an impressive presenting portfolio which includes Gardener’s World Live, aired for the first time on BBC in June 2010. He started alongside Nigel Slater in 2014 in yet another BBC special, Nigel and Adam’s Farm Kitchen. Like Farmer Like Son, Cotsworld Farm Park, A Farmer and His Dog and My Life on the Land are some of the books he has written.
